This time, Día de Muertos comes to life in the exotic world of Minaro.

For one special weekend, the atmosphere of Minaro Hotel Tokaj – MGallery Collection is transformed. The hotel’s distinctive South American-inspired world meets the colours, music and mystical spirit of Día de Muertos, turning Halloween into not just a single evening, but a full weekend Minaro experience.

On Friday evening, the first melodies already set the tone: live Latin guitar music arrives at Minaro, while the Viracocha Bar welcomes guests with Halloween cocktails created במיוחד for the occasion. One drink, a few Latin melodies, and suddenly you feel far removed from an ordinary autumn weekend in Tokaj.

On Saturday, the atmosphere becomes even more vibrant. During the day, the Amazonas Spa’s special themed sauna sessions bring the spirit of Día de Muertos into the wellness world, while the hotel’s Halloween fun begins as well. At the pumpkin carving competition, everyone can show their creativity, and the creator of the best design will win a one-night gift voucher for Minaro Hotel Tokaj.

As evening falls, music takes centre stage. The live performance of our star guest artist raises the energy of Saturday night even higher, while the cocktails of the Viracocha Bar, the music and Minaro’s distinctive after-dark atmosphere carry the weekend forward.

Throughout Día de Muertos, the familiar Minaro world takes on a new face: bold decorations, deep tones, candlelight and South American details create a setting where Halloween can be at once spectacular, elegant and playful.

And during the day, the Amazonas Spa, Tortuga Restaurant and the peaceful autumn atmosphere of Tokaj are all still there – making the weekend just as much about recharging and relaxation as about the evening experiences.

Few places in the world bring together two such distinct worlds so naturally. Nestled in the heart of the UNESCO-listed Tokaj Wine Region, Minaro Hotel Tokaj MGallery Collection brings the spirit of South America to life. Following its recent transformation, the hotel offers an even richer thematic experience with new symbols, striking installations and countless details inspired by the heritage of the Inca, Maya and Aztec civilizations.

The story begins in a former andesite quarry. The same volcanic rock that shaped the Andes Mountains also defines this unique landscape, while the terraced vineyards opposite the hotel evoke the iconic scenery of Machu Picchu. This remarkable connection inspired Minaro’s concept, where Tokaj’s heritage meets the mystique of ancient South America.

From the moment guests arrive, they are welcomed by a monumental Tumi sculpture, followed by the golden relief of Viracocha, the Inca creator god, in the lobby. Golden accents, ancient symbols and jungle-inspired interiors continue throughout the hotel, while a hidden Amazon corner behind the reception completes the immersive experience.

The renewed Amazonas Spa, signature cocktails at Viracocha Bar, and the culinary creations of Tortuga Restaurant continue this journey, combining the flavours and traditions of Tokaj and South America in a truly unique way.

This special event invites our guests to experience the authentic atmosphere of the harvest and follow the journey of the grape from vine to glass. Participants can take part in the harvest, discover the history and natural characteristics of the wine region, and taste Tokaj’s distinctive wines and freshly pressed grape must.

This day is dedicated to local heritage, genuine human connections and memorable moments shared together—everything that has made Tokaj so special for generations.

11:00 – Arrival and welcome
Meet at Máriásy Winery for a warm ceremonial welcome.

11:15 – Departure for the vineyards
We will walk together to the harvest site, where guests can personally take part in picking the grapes. All necessary harvesting equipment will be provided by the winery.

11:45 – Harvest experience in the vineyard
Guests will participate in the harvest before helping to load the filled crates for transportation back to the winery.

12:00 – Discovering the Tokaj wine region
We will walk to the highest point of the estate while a representative of Máriásy Winery introduces the history, distinctive vineyard sites and volcanic characteristics of the region.

At this panoramic location, guests will enjoy a picnic accompanied by a guided wine tasting.

Tokaj reveals one of its most beautiful faces in autumn. The vines turn golden, the cellars fill with the promise of a new vintage, and the streets come alive with wine, music and traditions passed down through generations.

The Tokaj-Hegyalja Harvest Festival is one of Hungary’s oldest and most prestigious harvest celebrations. Held since 1932, this three-day event brings visitors closer to the communities, winemakers, artisans and cultural heritage of the Tokaj wine region.

At Minaro Hotel Tokaj – MGallery, local heritage is more than a source of inspiration: it is an essential part of the guest experience. The festival celebrates Tokaj’s greatest treasures: its vineyards, wines, communities and centuries-old harvest traditions.

Wine, gastronomy and culture take centre stage at locations throughout the town. Traditional highlights include:

-open-air concerts and live music;

-folk music and heritage performances;

-street theatre productions;

-family activities and creative workshops;

-open cellars and accompanying events throughout the wine region.

Many of the programmes are expected to be free of charge, although tickets may be required for selected headline concerts.

From 26 September, our popular Wine Tales (Mesél a bor) experience returns every Saturday, inviting you to discover the stories behind Tokaj’s most celebrated wines through guided tastings. Then, from 2–4 October, the Tokaj-Hegyalja Harvest Festival brings the region’s traditions to life with music, gastronomy, local wines and festive celebrations.

As the vineyards grow quiet towards evening, the experience continues at Minaro. The fourth Sunday of Advent is no longer about creating, but about letting go.

During Mino Before Christmas, singing bowl meditation helps shut out the noise of the end of the year, followed by special Advent sauna sessions and the warmth of the Amazonas Spa.

Close your eyes. Listen to the vibrations of the singing bowls. Let the December rush slowly disappear.

Because in Mino’s world, Christmas does not begin when everything is finished.

Throughout the year, Mino knows something we would all like to rediscover at Christmas: how to slow down and truly experience every moment.

By the end of December, the Tokaj Wine Region grows quiet, the festive lights of Minaro begin to glow, and for a few days the entire hotel becomes the setting for a special Christmas story. This Christmas at Minaro Hotel Tokaj – MGallery Collection, Mino guides our guests through some of the most beautiful moments of the season. There is no need to rush from one programme to another. There is time for a long breakfast, the warmth of the Amazonas Spa, a glass of Tokaji wine, a story – or simply for each other. For the things we so often miss in the rush of everyday life.

Christmas mornings can begin with singing bowl meditation and a chance to truly slow down, while during the day the Amazonas Spa takes centre stage. The distinctive South American ritual of temazcal and the warmth of festive sauna sessions offer the perfect way to leave the year-end rush behind for a few hours.

In the afternoon, the stories of Tokaj come to life. During our Wine Tales programme, guests can discover not only the wines in their glasses, but also the traditions and stories of the wine region, while the sightseeing train offers a chance to explore Tokaj in its winter setting. Mino never rushes – perhaps that is why he notices the little details we might otherwise simply pass by.

As evening falls, Minaro fills with music. Live music every evening throughout Christmas creates the festive atmosphere, and after dinner at the Tortuga Restaurant, it is worth staying a little longer for a glass of wine or a cocktail at the Viracocha Bar, letting the evening linger just a little more.

Mino’s festive stories can also be discovered throughout different corners of the hotel. Guests taking part in the Mino Tales game will have the chance to win a two-night gift voucher for Minaro Hotel Tokaj – because every truly great story deserves a sequel.

On the final day of the year, Minaro Hotel Tokaj – MGallery Collection switches fully into celebration mode. For one unforgettable night, its South American-inspired world meets the excitement of the casino, live music and a spectacular New Year’s Eve party where elegance, playfulness and a truly carefree atmosphere take centre stage.

The evening begins with a festive dinner at Tortuga Restaurant, before Minaro’s own casino world opens its doors. Place your bets, try your luck and immerse yourself in the excitement of the night. The occasion also calls for a truly memorable look: we will host a costume competition, with the winner receiving a complimentary night at Minaro.

The best moments of New Year’s Eve deserve to be remembered. At our special Minaro photo wall, guests can capture the kind of photos that will bring back memories of how 2027 began long after midnight.

To make sure your look is as special as the evening itself, a professional make-up artist and hairstylist will also be available to help you prepare and perfect your chosen character or style. Capacity is limited, so advance booking is highly recommended, as appointments are expected to fill up quickly.

One of the highlights of the night will be Rakonczai performing live at Minaro. Familiar songs, sing-along moments and a true concert atmosphere will take the energy to the next level before the evening turns into the final big party of the year. From there, music, dancing, cocktails from the Viracocha Bar and sparkling wine will carry the celebration all the way to the midnight countdown.

We will welcome the New Year with a shared toast, followed by a special midnight menu designed to bring good luck and fresh energy for the celebrations ahead. After midnight, another surprise awaits: a New Year’s Eve raffle with valuable prizes.

And the night is far from over.

The music keeps playing, the dance floor fills up, the action continues around the casino tables, glasses are refilled, and Minaro celebrates the first hours of the New Year all the way until dawn.

During the day, the Amazonas Spa offers the perfect place to recharge before the big night, while on New Year’s Day it becomes the ideal setting to recover from the best moments of the night before.
